What's New in Dentrix

New features to help your team be more productive and more profitable.

The newest version of Dentrix includes these features:

  • Health History
  • Fee Guide Update
  • Smart Image Update

Health History

Automatically inactivate Health History for dates set in the future. Rank Health History items as Critical to make them more prominent in the health history. Track patient health status through changes in the Health History icon (red, yellow or white based on of the types of alerts and the criticality). See patient health pop-up alerts in the Patient Chart even if a Health History pop-up alert is closed in the front office. Include Inactive Health History Alerts with letter merge using the Health History filters.

You can now inactivate Health History items automatically for future dates.

You can now rank Health History entries as Critical to make them more prominent in Health History.

You can track patients’ health status at a glance through the colour of the Health History icon (red, yellow, or white depending on the type of alert and its criticality).

A persistent alert warning was added to the Patient Chart so that you will continue to receive health alerts in the Patient Chart even if someone in the front office closes Health History pop-up alerts. You can use Health History filters to include Health History alerts with letter merge.

Fee Guide Update

You can view the Dentrix Fee Schedules names and preview any changes to fee schedules before you update them.

Smart Image

The Smart Image Preferences dialog box was modified to include an Acquisition tab.

The General tab now includes an option called “Enable Sample Connector,” the Unique Device Identifier (UDI), and the Smart Image version number.

The toolbar now includes an Application Launch button for each connector that you have installed. Clicking this button opens the imaging software and integrates the selected patient with the connector.
