What's New in Dentrix

New features to help your team be more productive and more profitable.

The June 2024 release of Dentrix Canada includes the following features:

  • Dentrix Chat
  • Select Patient changes

Dentrix Chat

If you have an active Customer Service Plan, and as an alternative to placing a call, you can use Dentrix Chat to begin a chat session with a Customer Service Representative. For more information, view the Dentrix Help.

Select Patient

The Select Patient dialog box now opens faster, and the available search options in the Search By and Advanced Search tabs were modified. For more information, view the Dentrix Help.

Bug Fixes

  • A notification incorrectly appeared stating that Billing Statements would be cut off at X number of characters if they were sent electronically. (24.12)
  • Changing automatic update settings in the Update Manager did not respect the Utility Admin password right. (24.12)
  • Health History alerts did not appear in Send Message. (24.12)
  • If you ran close transactions while Dentrix was in use, carets appeared in the Ledger. (24.12)
  • In some cases, Month end did not create balance forward records if the balance was a credit and offsetting adjustments existed. (24.12)
  • In some cases, Month end did not move all claims into history. (24.12)
  • Selecting Release of Information in the Preferences dialog box had no effect for new subscribers. (24.12)
  • Resolved an issue with First Visit Date being editable when creating a new patient using the new patient workflow. (24.12)
  • The Appointment Book was slow if several events and/or appointments were on the Pinboard. (24.12)
  • Resolved an aging display issue for accounts with specific circumstances of having a zero balance and insurance claims in history. (24.11)
  • Corrected a discrepancy in rounding between locations where the Scheduled Production Amounts were displayed in the Appointment Book. (24.11)
  • When the office does not have Dentrix Pay, the Send Payment Request by Text option will no longer be available for selection. (24.11)
  • When using the “Write to File” option within the Audit Trail Report settings, the Print Preview will now automatically close after generating the file. (24.11)
  • Added an additional failsafe check during installs and upgrades to run logic that verifies the database version. (24.11)
  • Resolved an error where selecting “Available Diagnostic Codes” menu option would cause the Office Manager to shut down unexpectedly. (24.11)
  • Modified the order of installation operations so that a serial number is recorded before the Dentrix Client Service restarts. (24.11)
  • Corrected an error found under specific circumstances where merged family balances were displayed incorrectly. (24.11)
  • Corrected a specific set of circumstances where the Last Payment Date and Last Payment Amount information were incorrectly cleared after running the Close Transactions month end task. (24.11)
