December 2024 Release

The December 2024 releases of Dentrix Canada include the following features:

Sending claim attachments electronically

The Practice Notifications tool allows Henry Schein One to push real-time notifications to your practice about new features, important updates, and critical issues. A new icon was added to the Appointment Book to alert you of new notifications.

For 2025, Dentrix system requirements have been updated to meet Windows 11 requirements and to ensure that Dentrix continues to perform optimally. The updated requirements appear in the Dentrix 2024 System Requirements document, so you can prepare for the new year. After October 14, 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10.

The Canadian Dental Association’s CDA codes have been updated for 2025. If you have an active Dentrix Customer Service Plan and use Dentrix G7.5 or later, Dentrix automatically downloads and installs the new codes.

An error incorrectly appeared when you opened the Select Guarantor dialog box after changing the Head of Household. (24.24)
An error incorrectly appeared if you removed all the columns from the Select Patient dialog box. (24.24)
When you printed the 2024 preprinted forms, the text did not line up properly. (24.24)
Searching for patients in the Select Patient dialog box did not return the expected results when you used asterisks. (24.25)
The Family File stopped responding if you clicked the divider line under Subscriber in the Insurance Information dialog box. (24.25)
The Patient Notes Report did not include new Claim Status Notes. (24.25)
If a patient’s account had a special adjustment that was connected to a guarantor but was not flagged as a guarantor, month end failed. (24.25)
The Ledger sometimes stopped responding when claims were created. (24.25)

These versions of Dentrix Canada are known as 24.24 and 24.25.
