The January 2025 release of Dentrix Canada includes the following features:

Smart Image
- Smart Image has been updated to include the modality view, which introduces a new level of flexibility and efficiency to viewing intraoral images. From the modality view, you can navigate intraoral X-ray and intraoral image stacks.
Dentrix Installer
- System requirements minimums were updated.
CDA Codes
- The Canadian Dental Association’s CDA codes have been updated for 2025. If you have an active Dentrix Customer Service Plan, Dentrix automatically downloads and installs the new codes.
Bug Fixes
- The insurance information for archived patients was not being cleared.
- If a staff member ID contained a hyphen, an invalid staff member error incorrectly occurred on appointments.
- When you added a page to a document, you could not paste from the Clipboard.
- You can now copy and paste images from a Word document to the Document Center.
- Posting an insurance estimate override of 0.00 did not update the database correctly.
- Payments backdated to before the pre-payment agreement generated a misleading error.
- The keyboard shortcuts in the Dentrix Setup Wizard did not work.
- When patients had primary and secondary insurance, the Estimated Patient Portion incorrectly showed the primary insurance payment amount.
- Notes columns were not spaced correctly in the Claims Manager.
- If you edited Scheduled Task Practice Analysis Reports, the previously selected filters had to be reset.
- An error message incorrectly appeared if you maximized the Dentrix Launcher.
- The consent date in the Family File for new patients was blank when their appointments were set to complete.
- If you changed a head of household’s insurance, the status of the head of household’s dependents was incorrectly changed.
- If you changed the fee schedule for multiple patients using the Dentrix List Manager, the Select Fee Schedule dialog box did not open.
- In the Include Attachments dialog box, if you changed the selection in the Attach From list, an error message incorrectly appeared.
- If you set a patient’s appointment to complete and then archive the patient, the patient’s appointment is incorrectly deleted.
- The Select Patient dialog box in the Appointment Book, Document Center, Patient Chart , Health History, and Questionnaires did not sort names alphabetically.
- DXPrint stopped responding if a claim was submitted for a patient without an address.
- Scrolling in Advanced Search tab of the Select Patient dialog box incorrectly loaded non-filtered patient records.
- Secondary Claim attachments were rejected because an incorrect claim reference was being sent.
- Closing some Dentrix modules incorrectly generated an error message about not being able to install .Net Framework 3.5.
